19th Century fortification & barracks - Leffrinckoucke on Flickr.

Took a trip over to France to explore some WWII bunkers.

First stop was Leffrinckoucke, near Dunkirk. A large selection of gun emplacements and ammunition bunkers sat balancing on the sand dunes. It was an amazing place to explore, just walking in and out of the bunkers through the sand.

The bunkers are now pretty much covered in graffiti and depending on your opinion, either reflect our modern day culture or show disrespect to these concrete memorials.
